French

L.I.F, implements the official Diplôme Français curriculum set by the French Ministry of National Education (MEN). Our early childhood program foster student’s growth across all areas of early development and learning, keeping French language acquisition at the core of all we do. Carefully planned learning Experiences target children’s individual needs and interest, in the areas of language development, social-emotional competence, early literacy, early numeric, scientific exploration, gross and fine motor skills, health and well-being, and appreciation and expression.
The French curriculum is organized in cycles of 2 to 4 years, for which key areas of competencies are defined and worked though progressively. Each new cycle consolidates on previously obtained competencies and introduces new ones.

This schooling is done in four stages which are:

kindergarten, which is cycle 1 for first learning,

6 to 10 years
- Elementary: The classes of CP, CE1 and CE2 form cycle 2, which is the fundamental learning cycle.
- Intermediate: The classes CM1 and CM2 and 6th grade form cycle 3, which is the consolidation of the knowledge acquired in primary school.

Middle school (11-15 years old): Middle school classes are an opportunity to deepen all the knowledge acquired.

Secondary school (15-17 years): final cycle which opens the way to university or professional life.

What are the reasons for studying in French and what are the advantages?

French is a language of both romantic and historical importance.
Studying in French or even French in general is very important because it gives you the feeling of acquiring a second identity and of belonging to this great family united in a world organization called La Francophonie.
French gives access to several major universities in the French-speaking world.
As a second language, French leads to making new friends who also speak the language!
For people who have French as a second language, bilingualism will not only help them access a maximum number of opportunities, but will also help them communicate with clients in their own language.
With French as the language spoken and the language of work, the opportunities are endless!
learning French is very important because French is the official language of many countries in the world. The mastery of French will not only help in the professional career but it opens the doors of many countries in the world, not only France, but also the majority of African countries, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Quebec in Canada.
We will therefore be able to communicate with people from the four corners of the world. Is that not wonderful?
Finally, it is always wonderful to be able to forge ties and communicate with francophones around the world.
